Fall is right around the corner, and with it comes an abundance of new music (New music releases are neverending). Here are some releases to watch for these next couple of months. We have offerings from Planetshakers, Newsboys, The Gray Havens, and so on.

Michael W. Smith - Worship Forever (9/10)

Since the 1980s, Christian music icon Michael W. Smith has created worship songs that have impacted many lives. The artist has released 23 albums throughout his long-storied career. He recently announced that he'll be releasing his 24th full-length record, Worship Forever. The album was recorded with a live audience and a sixty-piece symphony orchestra. It'll also feature special guests like popular music artist Tauren Wells, as well as music veterans Matt Redman and Amy Grant.
Worship Forever is going to be extravagant and worshipful, and fans won't want to miss out.

Planetshakers - Revival (9/17)

Planetshakers is the worship band for Planetshakers Church in Melbourne, Australia. In 2000, the band released their debut album, When the Planet Rocked. And ever since, they've been cranking out album after album. To be exact, they've released 40 inspirational albums--and this doesn't include their EPs. In September, the band will release their 41st album, Revival. Planetshakers always provide an energetic and worshipful selection of music, and I'm sure this new record won't be any different.

Andy Mineo - Never Land II (9/24)

Hip-hop artist Andy Mineo is no stranger to Christian music. Even if you're not very familiar with his music, you've certainly heard his song, "Coming In Hot." The song became an Internet sensation at the beginning of 2021. Celebrities, such as Kim Kardashian, Will Smith, and many others shared the song on their TikTok and Instagram reels (in other words, it blew up the Internet). But Andy has more songs than just "Coming In Hot." In 2014, Andy released his album, Never Land. And, after seven years of waiting, he'll be releasing his follow-up record, Never Land II. The 14-track project is slated to release on September 17. Get ready, Andy Mineo fans.

Citizens - The Joy Of Being Together [Live] (9/24)

The biggest thing I missed during the COVID-19 lockdown was live music. Livestream concerts are great, but they aren't the same as being in a crowd, listening to bands live in living color. The good news is live music is slowly returning. So,
in the meantime, you can listen to live albums to quench your in-concert thirst. In fact, contemporary band Citizens has one dropping in September called The Joy Of Being Together. If you can't see your favorite band in concert yet, hopefully, this new album will satisfy your live music craving.

Switch - Better View Part 1 EP (9/24)

You've probably heard of contemporary band Switch from their hit song, "Symphony" (not to be confused with rock band Switchfoot; although, I'm sure you've heard of them, too). The single, released in early 2019, has been getting airplay on radio since its initial release. A year later, Switch released their debut album, Symphony, and now they're set to release a brand new EP, Better View Part 1. So far, the band has released two new quality singles. This EP is sure to be another hit.

Newsboys - Stand (10/1)

In 1985, Christian artist Peter Furler and his friend, George Perdikis, set out to form a music group. What started as a garage band in Australia grew into one of the biggest names in Christian music. Of course, I'm talking about the Newsboys. Peter and George had other musicians join them in their ambitious endeavor. And, over the years, the group has gone through a lot of transitions. The Newsboys is now fronted by former DC Talk vocalist Michael Tait, who has fearlessly led the band through this new era of music. This fall, the band will release their new album, Stand. The 11-track offering, slated for an early October release, features the already-hit radio single, "Magnetic." Despite the ever-constant changes, the Newsboys continue to deliver passion and creativity in all of their songs.

Roy Tosh - We Still Believe (10/1)

In early October, hip-hop artist Roy Tosh will be releasing his third full-length album, We Still Believe. The album's title track with the perfect summer vibe was released earlier this year. If that song is just a preview of what's to come, we can be sure that Roy has some great music in store for us.

The Gray Havens - Blue Flower (10/8)

The Gray Havens is an independent husband-and-wife duo made up of Dave and Licia Radford. Their alias, The Gray Havens, is named after famous author J. R. R. Tolkien's mythical seaport in Middle-earth, from iconic book and films, Lord Of the Rings. With a name like Gray Havens, their music would have to have a mystical feel to it--and each song certainly does. This fall, the duo will release their fourth full-length album, Blue Flower. It's definitely worth the wait.

We Are Messengers - Wholehearted (10/15)

We Are Messengers' frontman Darren Mulligan hails from Monaghan, Ireland, and his robust vocals pair perfectly with the contemporary band's unique pop sound. This October, they'll be releasing their third full-length record, Wholehearted. The first since the band's self-titled release in 2016. The new record, with a whopping 17 tracks, features popular artists like Cory Asbury, Vince Gill, and Josh Baldwin. If you're a fan of contemporary Christian music, this is yet another release that you won't want to miss out on.

Mac Powell - New Creation (10/15)

The iconic Southern rock band Third Day is nostalgic for me. I heard their songs on the radio a lot growing up. Unfortunately, they broke up in 2018, but their legacy still lives on. Of course, former lead vocalist Mac Powell couldn't abandon music. So, he started making his own. And, in mid-October, he'll drop his latest album, New Creation. So, check back often for updates on new singles and reviews for this highly-anticipated project.
